Job Description / Purpose

Localization is more than mere text translation. We are helping our clients effectively market their products/services globally. Localization services provided by ALPNET include glossary development, translation, content creation and adaptation, desktop publishing, electronic and web publishing and a wide range of engineering and software testing activities. As an Editor, you will be part of the team to deliver quality localization and meet our clients' linguistic requirements. You will be responsible for linguistic quality - in glossary development, designing style guides and polishing up the work of the translation team within a tight schedule. At the same time, you will need to constantly enhance your skills in the computer-aided translation tools used by our company.

Essential Knowledge Skills

1. Effectively bilingual, excellent knowledge of Portuguese and English.

2. Good computer knowledge.

3. Working knowledge of PC hardware and software.

4. Excellent language QA skills.

5. Excellent work ethics, work habits, and ability to maintain confidential and proprietary information.

6. Responsible, meticulous, and self-motivated.

7. Adept, flexible, and keen to learn new technologies.
